December 20, 2024

The Prince Edward Island Pharmacists' Association (PEIPhA) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with MAPflow that will revolutionize how Island pharmacy teams deliver healthcare services starting January 2025. In a groundbreaking initiative, all PEIPhA members will receive one year of complimentary access to MAPflow's cutting-edge clinical decision support platform.

"This partnership represents a transformative moment for pharmacy practice in PEI," says Erin MacKenzie, Executive Director of PEIPhA. "As we've seen the tremendous success of the Pharmacy Plus PEI Program, our members have consistently demonstrated their ability to improve healthcare access across the Island. Now, we're empowering them with state-of-the-art technology to enhance their practice even further."

Through the publicly funded Pharmacy Plus PEI program, pharmacists now assess and prescribe for 35 common conditions, including cough, sore throat, seasonal allergies, heartburn, minor joint pain, thrush, and skin conditions like mild to moderate eczema and mild acne. There is no out-of-pocket cost for this service for eligible Island residents.
