🚀 Exciting News from MAPflow! 🚀

Dear MAPflow Community,

I am thrilled to announce the launch of new features in MAPflow: the PRO and STANDARD modes for assessment designed to enhance your experience and efficiency!

Here's what's new:

1️. Extra Guidance Feature

📍 Located at the bottom left of the assessment interface.
🔀 Toggle on or off for additional explanations and clinical details.
📊 Informs decision-making.
🚫 Disable for a streamlined assessment.

2️. Improved Navigation Option

📍 Found on the upper right side of the screen.
➡️ Easily navigate between different assessment sections.
🔵 Select the blue > to navigate within each assessment step.

3️. Consistent Outcomes

🔄 MAPflow PRO and STANDARD modes yield identical outcomes.
📝 Comprehensive auto-generated documentation.
🏥 Fulfills standards of practice obligations.
📜 Meets regulatory requirements.

📋 All questions related to a specific step are now on one page.
🔄 Toggle "expand all" or "collapse all" within each step.
➡️ Sections are closed by default unless a required question is present.
⚠️ Referral activation is displayed within the relevant question/response section.

🚪 Exit the assessment early with options to refer or continue.

🔄 Toggle between MAPflow PRO and STANDARD modes during an assessment.

Our mission is to empower pharmacists to their fullest potential. MAPflow PRO streamlines the experience, saving time while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. MAPflow STANDARD provides additional customization for minor ailment assessments.

📢 Note: Currently, PRO mode is optimized for three ailments (uncomplicated UTI, conjunctivitis, cold sores). Stay tuned for more ailments optimized in PRO mode!

Bio

Dr. Nakhla is an academic and community pharmacist specialized in minor ailments, non-prescription therapeutics, and patient self-care with over fifteen years of commitment to teaching, research, advocacy, and practice innovation on these topics. She has spoken at provincial, national, and international meetings on these subjects, and has authored several chapters in leading pharmacy education textbooks. As a faculty member at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy, Dr. Nakhla was recognized with the Excellence in Pharmacy Teaching Award in 2019, received the Excellence in Science Teaching Award in 2020, and the Distinguished Teaching Award in 2023. Dr. Nakhla possesses a strong background in pharmacist and student pharmacist education innovation, pharmacy-based public health projects, and advocating for regulatory changes to expand pharmacy practice. Dr. Nakhla served as a member of the Ontario College of Pharmacists’ Minor Ailments Advisory Group (MAAG), which developed the draft regulations authorizing pharmacists to prescribe in Ontario.‍
