Ontario pharmacists can prescribe for 19 conditions authorized under O. Reg. 256/24 and governed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP). These include allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis (bacterial, allergic, and viral), acne (mild), GERD, dysmenorrhea, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, diaper dermatitis, candidal stomatitis, and more. All Part A pharmacists must complete OCP's Minor Ailments Prescribing Module before prescribing. MAPflow includes algorithms for every authorized condition and is updated as OCP expands the scope.
